Programs Available at ATA Career Education:
Dental AssistingATA’s Dental Assistant program will prepare you for a successful career as a dental assistant. Dental Assistants perform a variety of jobs, including patient care, office management and lab duties.
Medical Assistant
You will learn many diverse clinical and administrative skills associated with this career. These skills include but are not limited to taking medical histories, recording vital signs, preparing patients for examination, collecting and preparing laboratory specimens, instructing patients about medications and special diets, prepare patients for x rays, take electrocardiograms, remove sutures, and change dressings. You will also learn how to update and file patients’ medical records, fill out insurance forms, schedule appointments, billing and bookkeeping.
Medical Coding
In addition to on-the-job learning in your externship, you will learn Medical Terminology, Anatomy, Physiology, Human Diseases, Pharmacology, Insurance, and most importantly Medical Coding! You are also eligible to take your Certified Professional Coder Certification upon graduation.
Medical Office Assistant
ATA offers college courses to train you for a successful career as a Medical Office Assistant. In addition to the basic coursework for Medical Office Assistants, ATA also provides 120 hours of hands-on experience in a clinical setting during your externship.
ATA’s Medical Office Assistant program is a 10-month program that consists of 54 credit hours. Upon successful completion of this program, you will be awarded a Diploma in Medical Office Assisting.
Phlebotomy
ATA College’s Diploma Phlebotomy program will get you prepared and eligible to sit for several national certification exams. Our 8 month fast track program will include both lecture and hands on labs to practice phlebotomy techniques and operate lab equipment. ATA’s Phlebotomy clinical gives you the education and training needed to find a great position when you graduate. Phlebotomists are some of the most highly sought after professionals in the healthcare field today.
